Smiles for Every Age
Orthodontic treatment can be introduced at any age, whether you’re considering treatment for your child, teen or yourself; Cory Liss Orthodontics offers options for every stage of life.

Early Assessments for Children
One of the best ways to ensure healthy oral development in children is an early evaluation by an orthodontist. This allows us to identify and treat any emerging orthodontic issues, and address them promptly.
The Oral Health Benefits of Orthodontic Treatment
Investing in your smile with orthodontic treatment offers so much more than just the cosmetic benefits. By correcting the alignment of your teeth and bite, braces and clear aligners like Invisalign or Spark Clear Aligners can improve oral function, making your oral hygiene routine easier, and help protect your long-term oral health.
Better Bite Function
Proper tooth and jaw alignment supports comfortable chewing, biting, and speaking. Addressing orthodontic concerns can improve everyday function while promoting a healthier bite.
Easier Brushing & Flossing
Crooked or crowded teeth often create hard-to-reach areas where plaque can build up. Straighter teeth are easier to clean, helping reduce the risk of cavities and gum disease.
Prevent Future Wear
A misaligned bite can cause uneven pressure that gradually wears down teeth. Orthodontic treatment helps create a healthier bite, reducing excessive wear and supporting the long-term health of your smile.
Knowledge is Power for Patients
We believe that well-informed patients are more likely to be successful with their orthodontic treatment. For this reason, our team prioritizes patient communication.
We're always available to answer questions, and we make sure our patients understand each element of their treatment plans at each stage of treatment.
Here are our answers to some questions we are frequently asked by new patients about orthodontics.
-
What are the benefits of orthodontics?
Orthodontic treatment does more than straighten your teeth. Braces and clear aligners like Invisalign can improve bite alignment, making it easier to brush and floss effectively while reducing the risk of tooth decay and gum disease.
Correcting bite issues can also improve chewing, reduce unnecessary strain on the teeth and jaw, and support better long-term oral health. A straighter smile is just one of the many benefits of orthodontic treatment. -
What is an orthodontist?
An orthodontist is a dental specialist in the diagnosis, prevention, management, and correction of misaligned teeth, jaws, and bite patterns.
You will need to complete a four-year undergraduate degree, followed by four years of dental school, and then a two- to three-year orthodontic residency program to become an orthodontist.
-
At what age should someone seek orthodontic treatment?
We typically recommend that children visit the orthodontist for the first time by age 7.
These early evaluations give us an opportunity to identify and promptly treat emerging, isolated orthodontic issues. In some cases, we can work with a child's developing upper jaw to guide healthy growth. This type of early intervention can help prepare for orthodontic treatment in the teen or adult years.
As far as adults go, there is no upper age limit for orthodontic treatment. As long as their teeth and gums are healthy, adults in their 30s, 40s, and beyond can benefit from orthodontics too!
-
How can I tell if I need orthodontic treatment?
The best way to determine if you need orthodontic treatment is to schedule a consultation with an orthodontist. No referral is required, and an evaluation can identify bite issues and recommend the most appropriate treatment for your smile.
You may benefit from orthodontic care if you have:
- Crooked, crowded, or misaligned teeth
- Bite problems that affect chewing or speaking
- Jaw pain or facial discomfort
- Difficulty brushing and flossing effectively
- Excessive wear on your teeth caused by an uneven bite
-
What are my orthodontic treatment options at Cory Liss Orthodontics?
The two primary modes of orthodontic treatment we offer are traditional braces and Invisalign clear aligners. Both treatment modalities can be customized for each patient's specific needs.
For children, early intervention with appliances such as palatal expanders may also be used.
-
How much does orthodontic treatment with braces or Invisalign cost?
The cost of orthodontic treatment varies from patient to patient due to individual needs, case complexity, treatment type, and treatment duration.
During your initial consultation, a personalized treatment plan with pricing will be provided. Here at Cory Liss Orthodontics, we offer flexible financing options and accept many insurance plans.
