Your First Visit

Cory Liss Orthodontics strives to make every visit comfortable and informative – especially the initial one.

A typical first appointment lasts one hour and consists of a series of photographs, a comprehensive examination, and a thorough discussion of treatment options. Your initial visit will help us determine:

  • If orthodontic treatment is required.
  • What course of treatment will best address the patient’s orthodontic needs.
  • When treatment should begin.
  • How long the treatment will last.
  • The costs associated with treatment.

1. Your Exam

You’ll receive a thorough exam with complete digital X-rays and photos and meet your Cory Liss  team. If orthodontic treatment appears to be in the patient’s best interest, we can proceed with preparing diagnostic records. These consist of study models of the teeth, photographs and orthodontic x-rays, allowing Dr. Liss to formulate a specific treatment plan addressing the patient’s orthodontic concerns.

2. Meet Your Doctor

Dr. Liss will review your xrays and recommend a customized orthodontic plan specifically tailored to your needs. We always schedule adequate time to answer questions. However, we will gladly arrange a follow-up appointment should you require additional information.

3. Your Financial Options

Your Treatment Coordinator will discuss your financial options with you and prepare a custom plan that works within your budget.

4. Same Day Starts

If treatment is recommended and you wish to save an additional trip back to the office, we will be happy to get you started with the first step of the process.
